Nursery

Brooklyn Preschool’s nursery program benefits our members with babies and toddlers. Siblings of Brooklyn students who are not yet age-eligible for preschool can go to our on-site nursery during their family’s parent-teaching shifts. Newborn babies can be worn on their parent in the classroom during parent-teaching shifts, up to six months of age. Siblings of students in the Seahorse class who are not yet age-eligible for preschool can go to our on-site nursery during their family’s parent-teaching shifts. Our CPR and Nursery services are available only to members who are parent teaching in the Seahorse classroom that day, so no more than four children are in the nursery at a time. Member families are scheduled to work in the classroom 2 to 4 times a month, so nursery families can expect to use the nursery at the same frequency. Nursery services do come with extra costs, which are billed with a flat monthly fee. This fee is based on enrollment and other factors. For the ‘24-’25 school year, the cost was $125/month. Additional one-time fees for insurance/registration may apply. Whether your baby is worn on-shift or enrolled in the Nursery, breastfeeding opportunities are available and encouraged!
